Words of Advice Empty
PostSubject: Words of Advice   Words of Advice EmptySun Apr 22, 2012 5:30 am

I sit down on a bench in the hallways. I think
about what happened against my match with Ultra. I remember kneeing him
directly in the head, and getting a 1...2...3. I smile, but then frown
remembering what happened after the match. Ultra Destroyer attacked me,
letting his emotions get the better of him. I shake my head at a man I
once respected, who has now been depleted by his rage. It sickens me to
think how easily a person can be affected by losing. It can turn some of
the best men in the world, violent and unpredictable. But then I look
at myself and think back to what happened with Hank Hanson. I realize
that my rage can turn me into a monster. I realize that I am not so
different from Ultra. I sit there and wonder about what I should do when
I face Ultra Destroyer again this week. Suddenly Hank Hanson walks up
and sits next to me. He speaks up.

Congrats on the win. You deserved it kid.

I bite my lip and look up. I nod my head.

Well
it seems I have to face him again this week. Can't say I'm all too
pleased with having to face him again. I barely beat him last time.

Hank then laughs and talks again.

Yeah, but you beat one of the best in AWO kid. Any person would be flowing with confidence right now. Why is it that you aren't?

I stare at Hank and I tell him what we both know.

I got lucky. I slipped out of his grasp and reacted as fast as I could. That is the only reason I won.

Hank then nods his head but seems bent on giving me confidence.

Well,
you may have gotten lucky in your own mind, but in the audience's eyes
what they saw was a fighter. A man who would not give up no matter how
hard the task was. What they saw was you. Listen, you may not believe in
yourself, but the audience does. You are a lot better than you think.
Just remember, the thing that makes a champ is not the fact that he
wins, but it is the fact then when he goes down...he gets back up.
That's what champs do. They get back up.

I
think about the meaning of his words. They are very true. A true winner
never gives up. He goes out and gives everything he has. I know that
this week, I will once again have to bring everything in that ring. I
may not walk out the winner of the match, but in the audience's eyes I
will be the true winner. I then speak.

Yeah, I guess your right.

Shane, I know I'm right.

Hank then gets up and is walking away. Suddenly he walks back.

Yes?

Here, I have an old friend who may be able to help you. Here is their card.

He then hands me a card and I read over it. I read the phone number and decide it may be worth a shot. I then look at Hank.

How do you know them?

I trained them. Don't worry, they can wrestle just as good as they can talk. And both of those are extreme.

OK. I will call them later today.

Hank then nods and walks off. I take out a phone and dial in the number. The phone is picked up.

Hello?
