The crowd cheered when Phillip Phillips' theme hit the speakers, wondering what he was about to address this time after being eliminated first on Fusion the previous night. However, when he emerged in a wheel chair, being rolled out by Austin Cross, the crowd seemed less excited. As Austin wheeled him down the ramp, Phillip lifted a microphone from his lap.
PHILLIP PHILLIPS ...I ripped my dick.
The crowd laughed, and even Phillip grinned slightly in his attempt to lighten up a serious matter.
PHILLIP PHILLIPS Or, as the doctors would say, I tore my groin.
He said the last part in a very intelligent, formal-sounding voice to mimic how the doctors might have put it.
PHILLIP PHILLIPS Anyways, on a more serious note, this is actually a legitimate injury, and I won't be able to wrestle for quite some time.
The crowd booed, dreadfully anticipating this moment since he announced his injury.
PHILLIP PHILLIPS Now, I'm sure you're wondering... how did this happen?
Austin swung the chair around so he was facing the tron, which began to play a video. It showed the match from Fusion, Michael London locking Phillip in a belly-to-belly position before tossing him out of the ring.
PHILLIP PHILLIPS Now look right here.
The video slowed down on his landing, clearly exhibiting how he landed awkwardly, thigh-first on the edge of the announce table before rolling back onto his stomach.
PHILLIP PHILLIPS See how I hit the announce table there? Not fun. But just to make it worse...
It now transitioned into a scene of Benjamin Paul, stomping away at the groin area of a limp, lifeless Phillip seated against the barricade, then pulling him by the legs up to the ramp.
PHILLIP PHILLIPS However, it's not too serious, and I should be able to return after AWO's first payper view, Phenomenon.
Austin Cross stared on awkwardly, but tried to brush it off as he grinned at the crowd.
PHILLIP PHILLIPS But for now... I can't feel my balls.
After dropping the microphone which proceeded to roll down the ramp, he leaned over in the chair and held his crotch in pain as Austin rolled him back up the ramp.
