Gorilla position is full of wrestlers getting ready to go out to the ring for their matches on Overdrive 3. Blaze Griffin walks up in his ring gear, Dark blue trunks with an orange cat’s paw on one leg and the words Wildcat and Soldier crossing in an X on the other leg, and a dark blue ring jacket with the orange cat’s paw on the back. He stands there looking around for a minute before walking over to the camera.

Well, Wilmer, this is it. Time to see who the best man is. You say you’re the best, and that no man can match your sheer stamina in the ring. Well, maybe that’s true. I guess I’m going to find out.

But even if you have stamina on your side, I have pure desperation on mine. This match is how fans will remember me for a long time. If they see me go out there and get beaten in my first match, they’ll never respect me again. And that’s what I’m looking for here in the WEW. Fun, competition, and respect. That’s why I like you. Even if you’re a bit of a player, you showed me respect from the start, and know how to have some fun. And you’re damned sure some competition.

Blaze adjusts his jacket and flips the hood up onto his head.

So tonight, I’m going to go out there and give it my all, and you better be doing the same. If you come out there and half ass it, you’ll lose my respect, not to mention the match and your undefeated streak. But if you go out and bring your A-game, win or lose you’ve made a friend in the Second City Soldier.

The stage manager calls to Blaze that it’s time for his match.

Blaze walks towards the curtain as Time To Shine by Saliva starts pouring through the speakers.
