Background/Gimmick - A former gang member from Detroit, Cole was responsible for multiple deaths during a gang war when he utilized the same wrestling moves he watched on TV from the people he idolized. After a triple german suplex based on his personal idol Chris Benoit, Cole was walloped over the head with a brick. He was then kidnapped by Bret Hart and Chris Benoit, who were in town visiting a few friends who live in Detroit. Trained by the duo, Cole was not able to procure employment in the WWE after Chris's untimely death. Reduced to working for food in hardcore death matches, Cole eventually moved to Japan to get into their deathmatch scene. Instead, Antonio Inoki took a personal liking to the young man's fire and tenacity (along with his immense skill) and finalized his training. After a few grueling years in Japan, Cole returned to America to take the promotions RCW, HDW, and EHDW by storm. He fiercely protects those close to him, especially his traveling buddies Terry Kowalski and Jacob the Cameraman. Trying to atone for his actions in AWO while under Dark Angel's influence, he wants redemption... and the championship.
