R.I.P Tag Team Wrestling. Empty

PostR.I.P Tag Team Wrestling.

In the WWE, at least. I don't really keep up with TNA or anywhere else, sadly. But, I was just watching the fatal fourway TLC Tag Team Championship match on SmackDown! from forever ago...Benoit/Jericho vs E & C vs Hardyz vs Dudleyz. I actually miss the tag team division from the late 90's/early 00's. I mean, don't get me wrong...I also loved the tag division 2005-2007 as well, being a big fan of the HooliganZ...though that name never got stuck to the team of Brian Kendrick and Paul London. I never thought I would say I missed tag team wrestling in the WWE until I watched some older tag team matches, though. Why does Vinnie-Mac have to ruin good things like that? -_- Sorry...I'm an insomniac and can't sleep most of the time, so, yeah...that explains the randomness.

Indeed, we have like 3 active tag teams in the WWE currently (Primo & Epico, Usos, Young and Oneil) and the Championships changed hands in a house show lol.
I think WWE should do something about the tag team division.

First step: Bring up Kassius Ohno, and stick him with Antonio Cesaro. You may know them better as Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli, the Kings of Wrestling.

Second step: Raid ROH for the Briscoes, and maybe a few more teams. Bring up the Briscoes as fast as possible, and have them feud with the Kings. Give both teams a lot of mic time, a lot of in-ring time, and you've got instant gold.

Third step: Raid Chikara for some trios. Keep them in their current gimmicks. The Colony would be AMAZING in the WWE. The Spectral Envoy? Amazing. 3.Ole? AMAZING.

Fourth step: Rebuild. From the top down, rebuild. Just delete the old tag team titles, they're worthless now. Hold a big tournament, with amazing wrestling and promos, for new ones. What's that? If you have good wrestling and good promos people will care? HOORAY! Have it in smark country, like Chicago or Philly, and you've got a damn fine mix.

True, very true. I don't even care for the TNA tag divisions except for the Motorcity Machine Guns and Mr. Anderson/Jeff Hardy.

The Murder City Machineguns would be AWESOME in WWE, and I doubt they'll stay in TNA if they get a WWE offer.

They will never be offered a contract though

No and if they did manage to be offered one... WWE would never use them properly. Due to NO cruiserweight division, lightweights tend to be put in SQUASHED matches.

Just like they did to Londrick. Which was WWE's version of them, pretty much.
